A practical guide to buying adult resin statues, covering shipping, scale, and material differences. Learn what to verify before adding an 18+ figure to your collection.

Quick answer

When buying 18+ anime statues, always verify shipping costs, scale dimensions, and material quality before committing to a purchase. Two standout options are the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Lucy statue and the Elden Ring Blaidd resin statue.

Shipping isn't included – plan for it

Many 18+ resin statues, especially those from smaller studios, do not include shipping in the listed price. You will receive a separate shipping quote once the item reaches the logistics center. Always factor this extra cost into your budget.

For example, both the Fallen Angel Studio Lucy statue and the PP Studio Blaidd statue require you to pay shipping separately. This is standard for GK (garage kit) and resin statues that ship from overseas warehouses.

Scale matters more than you think

18+ statues often come in larger scales than standard anime figures. A 30 cm tall Lucy statue may look dramatically different next to a 40 cm Blaidd statue. Measure your display space and check the height, depth, and width dimensions before ordering.

If you plan to display multiple statues together, ensure their scales are compatible. Mixing a 1/4 scale with a 1/6 scale can break the visual harmony of your collection.

Material differences: Resin vs. PVC

Resin statues (like the PP Studio Blaidd) are heavier, more detailed, and more fragile than standard PVC figures. They often require careful handling and may need assembly or minor cleaning before display.

PVC figures are lighter and more durable, but may lack the intricate surface details and weight that collectors appreciate in 18+ pieces. Choose based on your display habits and shipping budget – resin costs more to ship.

Decision rules for buying 18+ anime statues

Check shipping costs first: Never assume shipping is included. Look for phrases like 'shipping not included' or 'will quote shipping cost.' Request a shipping estimate before you commit to the purchase. Contact the seller for a shipping quote if the listing doesn't provide one.
Verify scale and dimensions: Compare the statue's height, width, and depth against your display area. A 40 cm statue needs a deeper shelf than a 30 cm one. Also check if the statue requires a base or diorama that adds to the footprint. Measure your shelf space and compare it to the statue's dimensions before ordering.
Assess material and fragility: Resin statues are heavier and more brittle than PVC. If you move frequently or have children/pets, a lighter PVC figure may be safer. For display-only collectors, resin offers superior detail. Choose resin for display, PVC for durability.
