Looking for a Tomie Kawakami statue? This guide covers the licensed DREAMSHAPERS Studio GK statue, shipping realities, and decision rules to help you buy with confidence.

Quick Answer

For a licensed Tomie Kawakami statue, the DREAMSHAPERS Studio GK is the primary option currently in stock, but you must budget extra for shipping and accept a 30–40 day lead time before the shipping quote arrives.

Why Licensing Matters for a Tomie Statue

Junji Ito's Tomie is a celebrated horror manga character, and officially licensed statues ensure the design respects the original artwork and supports the creator. Unlicensed versions may cut corners on likeness or material quality.

The DREAMSHAPERS Studio Tomie Kawakami statue is a licensed GK (garage kit-style statue), which means it was produced with official approval. For collectors who value authenticity and long-term value, this is a significant advantage.

Shipping Cost and Timeline Trade-Off

One of the biggest surprises for first-time GK buyers is that international and domestic shipping are not included in the listed price. For this statue, the estimated shipping cost to the USA is $121 USD, but the final quote only arrives after the product reaches the logistic center.

The statue is currently "ready to ship out from logistic center" with a 30–40 day processing window. You will need to pay the shipping cost separately before it ships. Plan your budget accordingly and be prepared for a wait.

Decision Rules for Buying Your Tomie Kawakami Statue

Check the Total Cost: Add the catalog price ($803.64) and the estimated shipping ($121 USD to USA) to get a rough total. The final shipping quote may vary, so keep a buffer.
Prepare for the Shipping Process: After ordering, the statue goes to the logistic center. Within 30–40 days, you will receive a shipping cost quote. You must pay that before the item is dispatched. Do not expect immediate shipping; factor in the wait time.
Verify the Display Space: The statue dimensions are provided in the product listing. Measure your shelf or cabinet to ensure it fits, especially if you have a collection with other pieces. A large GK statue may need dedicated space.
